Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
Your BAH can be used to rent on base or live off base. If you live off base, you can either rent or buy. Click the link above for current BAH rates.
On post housing at Luke Air Force Base is assigned based on rank and family size. Upon arrival, check in with the housing office to determine if there is a waiting list. The wait time will depend on family size and bedroom requirements as well as rank. Off post housing is available in the nearby cities of Glendale, Peoria and Avondale.
On Base Housing ( Rent On-Base )
You can contact the housing office at 623-856-7643. Please keep in mind that there is a process involved in renting on base housing, including wait times.
Temporary lodging can be reserved at the Fighter Country Inn which is close to all on-post facilities. The Inn is open 24 hours a day and takes reservations anytime. There are over 40 temporary lodging facilities located near Luke Air Force Base that will approve up to a 30 day interim stay while military personnel are looking for a more permanent residence.

Luke Air Force Base is a major training base for the Air Education and Training Command which trains pilots to fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. The host wing is the 46th Fighter Wing.
Luke Air Force Base is located about 15 miles from Phoenix, Arizona and close to the city of Glendale. The base is accessible from exit #128 via Interstate 10.
Luke Air Force Base currently has no schools on post, so students attend one of the schools in over 40 public school districts near the community in which they live. Vocational, community college and university level institutions are all available in the nearby communities. Undergraduate as well as graduate programs are offered.
